Cheap & very compact product but barely fit for purpose

Bought 2 of these - both had the same serious image quality issues, so believe it to be a design rather than manufacturing problem. Image randomly alternates between correct & incorrect colours, where greens appear magenta, reds appear yellow etc... Tested image with three different TVs (2 x CRT & 1 x LCD) and all three showed this problem. Only when I tested it with a professional grade broadcast monitor (costing £1700) were the colours correct. Also vertical lines in image content appear serrated and not straight - caused by alternate line offset - again, only the professional monitor showed verticals correctly. Also, do not cut cable shorter than the lump where the cables split out - there is a micro circuit (12V to 3.3V regulator) hidden inside the lump where the cable ends split out! I found this out the hard way! Review by a professional video engineer.
