Thankfully I only paid $39 for this junk
2 of 3 found this helpful Pros:
It heats stuff up
Cons:
Loud fan
Obnoxious beeping and flashing LEDs
Limited slow cook capability because of auto-shutoff times
The interface for the cooker is just awful. The LEDs are unnecessarily bright (hard to look at bright) and when switched on at the wall socket they continuous flash - no way to turn it off, except by starting cooking. If you switch it on without a pot on it won't heat up: Useful safety feature, but displaying 'E0' is enough without accompanying it with the obnoxius beeping which never stops. So anytime you use it you have switch it on or off at the power point. Every other kitchen appliance (toasters,kettles,blenders, etc.) has an on/off switch on the device that actually turns the device on or off. This is basic appliance design 101 and this device is just poorly designed due to a lack of commonsense.
And did I mention the fan was really loud? It uses a CPU sized cooling fan, so they they could have put a whisper quiet one in for an extra dollar or two. Instead they used a cheap fan so the device is much louder than a gas cooktop.

All these batteries only have 40% their rated cpacity, but still OK value.
I did a direct charge/discharge comparison of these batteries versus geniune Ryobi branded batteries, and found that they only hold 40% of the energy. So their real ratings should be:
"2.0Ah" = 0.8Ah
"2.5Ah "= 1.0Ah
"4.0Ah" = 1.2Ah
"5.0Ah" = 2.0Ah
"6.0Ah" = 2.4Ah
So they work out to ~$23 per Ah, which is good value for the lighter lower capacity batteries compared to Ryobi retail price. Just remember the amount actual runtime you will get.

Design flaws undermine solid construction
1 of 1 found this helpful There are three problems with the unit:
1. The flush is weak and hard to pump
2. The centre hole is quite small requiring accurate positioning for successful management of solid waste, which is its most important function. Any miss is unlikely to be handled by the weak flushing action.
3. The seat is ridiculously small, the flat on the sides being less than one inch wide at the middle. You will tend to sink into the bowl unless you have larger than average hips.
Other than those critical issues, the construction is solid and the seals seem of good quality. A few design changes could make this a great product. It is functional and all the other units I have seen look like they have much the same design so for the price it is a good emergency unit, but I wouldn't want to have to have to use it for extended periods.
