Incredible bit of kit, every Mechanic / Car Restorer should have one!
2 of 2 found this helpful I had an old 80Ah Wet Lead Acid battery that was completely dead. The 6 cells required topping up of almost a litre of distilled water plus the neon status indicator on the battery was Black instead of Green. I attached the Ring 12Amp battery charger to the battery and selected to analyse the battery, status = 0% not a good start! I selected the 'Repair' function which then started to recondition the battery at a trickle charge of 0.8Amp. After 4-5hrs the battery was holding a charge of 4.6volts. The charger continued to recondition the battery for approx 24-30hrs. Whilst on charge it was automatically increasing the charge rate from 0.8amp to 12amp, until the battery was holding a charge of 14.4volts, and the battery's neon status indicator had turned Green...Incredible! A new battery would have cost far more than the cost of the Ring 12A charger, buy one, you won't be disappointed! :-)
