The best of Young's best era
Neil Young created his best work during his first decade as a professional musician, beginning with his days as a member of the short lived but legendary Buffalo Springfield and then as a solo artist. This compilation covers that period. It features some of the songs he composed when he was in Springfield and the best of his solo albums up until 1976. It also features songs that, until recently, were hard to find anywhere else. "Star of Bethlehem" and "Campaigner" were originally part of albums that were never released until recently, so this set was the only place where you can hear them. There have a couple of other compilations since this release that contains some of the bigger hits from this album as well as his later classics like "Rockin' in the Free World", but this is still essential since this covers what most people will agree was Young's best and most consistent period.

I am very satisfied. Best edition of this film yet.
Even though it says director's cut, the truth is you get both the theatrical version and the director's cut. It should really say Special Edition more than Director's Cut since it sounds like you're getting only an alternate version. Either way, this is the ultimate edition for those who still enjoy this classic piece of 80's cheese. Even the Blu-Ray edition is a joke compared to this release because it's basically a high-definition upgrade of the original barebones release from the early 2000's. Definitely recommended for action fans or Schwarzengger fans or both.
