Broke off right where internal thread start
Was installing it with a 9/16 hand socket when broke off right where internal threads start. The external threads were not yet seated and it was still turning pretty easy, maybe 10 ft lb of torque applied.
I was able to remove broken piece with an easy out and installed a solid plug. The brass doesn't seem extra hard and brittle or soft and malleable, the piece just has thin walls and there was most likely a defect.
I would not recommend unless you like wasting your time.

Good replacement
I punched the buttons and they went two inches into the dash! I thought this would be the OEM black but it's chrome. It has the prongs on back so it's a replacement for OEM, not just a chrome cover.

turns over engine and starts
turns over 12.7 detroit well. Tried a generic remanufactured and it only held up a few months, hopeful the delco remy lasts a bit longer. Update 3/4/22 still no issues at all
