Excellent beginner's reference work

For those currently doing a course to learn German this is the perfect companion reference work. It contains a section on grammar, verb conjugation tables and subject related vocabulary lists. Best of all, it's very accessible to people who have never studied a language before because it contains clear explanations of grammatical terms and concepts in the beginning of the book as well as plentiful example sentences throughout so that grammar and vocabulary are learned in context. The wealth of information offered here in such a relatively small book is amazing. Get it!

Classic traditionalist production.

One of the very few traditionalist productions of the Ring Cycle available on DVD. No 'Regietheater', Eurotrash nonsense here. It has its flaws like any other production of the Ring simply because the Ring Cycle is so notoriously hard to stage, but a real effort was made here to make everything look as beautiful and as impressive as was possible at the time while making it a Ring production that Wagner himself would recognize as his. If you haven't seen the Ring Cycle before I strongly recommend this as the first production you should see.
