Jungle Warriors by Adrian Threlfall (Paperback, 2014)

Valuable refeence about the "learning curve" in the Australian Army.in WW2
I had a copy of the earlier thesis/paper that this is based on - it was good in the presentation at Chief of (Australian) Army History Conference. Really unexplained at the time. This book is an expansion on it and goes into greater detail. Very good.as an information souce and one with much detail into the gradual evolution - in fits and starts - of assimilating and distributing the necessary information, techniques and equipment across the whole of the Army (and support from the other services) not just the AIF. Many of the techniques were taught to me as part of the training immeadiate post-Vietnam War ! It could do with maybe the actaul equipment tables /ORBAT of the varuious evolutions of the division to a jungle establishment. Textual notes and references are good. Disclaimer: my cousin was killed at Buna as a cost of what is now called "the learning curve"

    Continuing a fine tradition
Warship has set the benchmark for research warship design and construction particularly since the introduction of the ironclad in the 19th Century. This book continues this tradition and is highly recommended and it is a good read and very reasonable price wise.

    Well worth a watch
I remember it from its first run in Australian TV (ABC naturally) and am not disappointed in re-watching it.....
