Here's how to replace your screen
First of all thanks so much for offering this touchscreen, this saved me a couple hundred dollars at least! I am just a regular guy with no technical background and I was able to replace the touchscreen of my gen2 prius. Here is how I learned how to do it: step 1: remove the MFD: youtu.be/KF9yJwOCRdU Step 2: disassemble the MFD: youtu.be/V6bpgL7GH9s As seen in the video there are many different parts and layers I recommend you take photos as you go to help you remember what goes where for reassembly. Work on a large table, and put the various parts down in the order you remove them, this will make reassembly easier. Step 3: take a razor blade and gently slide it between the old touchscreen and the surface it is adhered to. Only the outer 1/4" of the original display has adhesive. Clean the surface. I used a small amount of rubber cement to adhere the new touchscreen outer edge (just like it was from the factory). Rubber cement worked perfectly! Then reassemble, and you are done! I took my time, and the entire process too me about 2 hours and the new screen works like new!
