READ REVIEWS. Doesn't connect my laptop HDMI output to monitor's VGA input.
Thankfully it only cost $5. The physical connections fit but the actual signal conversion apparently needs different hardware/wiring. Can't blame the quality, but it sounds like this misunderstanding is common in the reviews so it should be highlighted perhaps in the description?

I like it
I paid about $100 so it was a great value. I withheld a star because the buttons feel a little "sticky". They resist being pushed which may be either the way they were designed or from something that happened with the previous owner.this is the first one I've ever used. I do like having the extra buttons (compared to the simpler space navigator) to keep my hand from having to keep going back to the keyboard looking for the hotkeys
