Best Samurai Film
This was the first samurai movie i had ever seen. the cinematography is amazing, the acting is good, the storyline twists and turns, and the Hero is memorable. The Masterless sanurai, Sanjuro, visits a town split between two gangs. The Yojimbo (bodyguard) plays for both sides in an attempt to stop the killing.

Great potential as two great samurai legdens meet
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this movie not knowing what to expect. I thought it was going to be bad, average, or a comic misrepresentation of the samurai genre.well, it turned out to be average. i would recomend this to only BIG Zatoichi or yojimbo fans because its not mainstream by far. the only problem i had with the movie was the portraile of Yojimbo as a greedy drunk, but i got over it. one plus to this movie was the well done translations and sidenotes at the top of the screen to expain some facts and figures. overall, this movie had it's good parts, but in between, there was little if no new ideas braught to the table.
