better then expected

My 1st flash, I use it with a Nikon D90. I was reading some reviews before purchasing this one, i had some doubts, but i was willing to give it a try. The build quality: I was expecting something flimsy, but except the battery door it's quite good. The battery door it's not flimsy but it requires some attention and a little bit of force when you close it. The springs pressing the batteries are more powerful then expected. But hey, maybe it's a good thing, that means i'm not going to have problems with batteries making a proper contact. The plastic witch is made from feels good, not like a cheep toy. Mine have a metal hot shoe and a socket for something that is not explained in manual. Hopefully one day i will find out what that is for. I think Yongnuo update their design, but not the manual. Functions: Buttons are intuitive, nothing complicated. I've test it on camera, off camera as optical slave, and everything worked just fine (indoors, i don't know yet how is outside in sunlight). What i didn't test is battery time. I've just received the flashlight couple hours ago. Only the time will tell if this one was a good investment, so far i'm really happy about my flashlight.

it does the job

Looks nice, i don't think it's leather, but then again at this price i wouldn't hope it was leather. I have been using it for 2 weeks, no peel, no discoloration, no problems so far.

Maybe, just maybe when it was packaged was looking as it supposed to. Almost half of my package arrived... just carbon dust, witch obviously is useless. The other half you have to sift it. At the end with some work you could have some decent granules to use, but perhaps the transport ruins it.
