Lightweight but very weak in cold weather
Purchased my first lithium battery for motorcycle mainly to save 2kg in weight
Battery arrived in good time and straight out of box measures 12.8v. Charged for several hours on trickle charger as per instructions just to be safe
Fitted it to bike and started fine
However in 8 degrees cold morning was different story...took 5 attempts to start
Checked fitting and connections and all good and voltage good
Googled it and read about problems with lithium battery in cold temp start ups. Google advises to “warm battery by trying to start motor and then waiting 30 seconds and then re try” ....a real pain first thing and noisy for neighbours at six am....
Eventually did start
Below 10 degrees a pain to start
Should have done more research!
Ps did contact supplier who said “you must have another problem as lithium stronger”
Going back to traditional lead acid or gel now!
