Nice treat

The outtakes include some versions that are arguably better in their "unplugged" form. One of the four tracks that didn't make the album surely should have. And the cassette is fun. For non cassette users, there's a CD download code that was easy to use. What's not to like!

Late flowering Weller.

Full of unexpected twists and turns. Village is standout but there are plenty of strengths and the album works as a whole listening experience which is rare. Plenty of tasteful, clean guitar work but interesting use of electronic keyboards too. What matters most is that there are plenty of good tunes and much more variety than some albums. The late flowering of his music continues.

Still crazily worth a listen

Late Simon but still with a sparkle. The production is spin-tingling good and the songs grow on you. No anthems for a generation on here but plenty to enjoy. Lie back and let it tickle your fancy.
