Musical history in the making.
If you are of Greek or Italian line from long ago Greek settlements in Italy, and am proud of your culture, you must have this in your music collection.
Nice arrangements of a disappearing piece of Greek/Italian history.

Beyond Rembetika
Of significant musical interest. A 'must have' collection compiled by Chris King for all those with an interest in music not only from the region of Epirus, but for all those with musical interest in the wide area of the Middle East and the Eastern Mediterranean.
For me, this is a link to my late Grandfather, whose lineage hails from Thessaloniki, and who knew much of this music. Importantly he tought me that the roots of Rembetika went back as far as ancient Babylon, and Rembetika is something we inherit.
