1989 VFL "A RUN THROUGH THE RUNTHROUGHS" - Vic Cheersquads & Their Banners
    15 July 2021
A classic piece of VFL/AFL history!
This book was produced in small numbers in 1989 & therefore is not always that easy to get hold of. I first heard about it through a Port Adelaide Cheer Squad member many years ago & resolved to find one eventually & I did. It was so good that I tracked down a 2nd copy for my brother. If you loved the old runthrough banners at the footy, you will love this book. It has two very slight downsides only. It showcases the VFL/AFL only & I would have loved to see many more banners, as I have always thought they were & are very iconic in Australia football. However, the VFL was THE league at the time & many of your favourite players of the era 'get a guernsey' in this book. I highly recommend it as a brilliant addition to any sport fan's library.

    Well worth owning
If you're into WW1 aviation, you can't go wrong with adding this gem to your movie library. It is a very informative & enjoyable documentary. The high lights would certainly be the interviews with a few surviving WW1 pilots, something no longer possible of course, including the last living member of von Richthoffen's squadron from WW1.

    A great publication!
A well produced concise publication of a broad range of Escape & Evasion aids, some extremely rare. A must for an air force kit and uniform collector like me. A worthy addition to any military buff's library.
