Eighties all the way
Quaterflash’s first and best album. Well produced (for it’s time) with excellent saxophone and superb song writing. Harden My Heart was iconic when it was released, Valerie is haunting and Williams Avenue is a funk fest

So good I bought it twice
1 of 1 found this helpful This is Level 42's definitive album. I bought this album in '87 on vinyl and then again on CD when it became available. Since I couldn't find my CD recently (somebody must have "borrowed" it) I had to buy it again. There is not a single bad track on the album. It is slick and perfectly produced. It has that eighties feel combined with powerful performances from the best rhythm section that has ever existed and sublime songwriting. Lessons in Love is a cracking tune and Running in the Family really tells a story. The other three singles, "It's Over", "To Be With You Again" and "Children Say" are all really strong and the rest of the album stands up to these tracks. No music collection is complete without this album.
