Most things worthwhile are not easy.
I bought this book because it was held in such esteem and figured in his Nobel Prize. I had some difficulty at the beginning and did some research and then returning to the book I realized why the book is so great. It's like studying classical music and then suddenly catching on to beauty that was outside of your appreciation. It calls on you and then delivers!

The first half of the movie will enchant you.
Movies are of course subjective. This movie appeals to me on my highest artistic level. The colors, the sets, the costumes, the music and of course the cast - everything finely combined perfectly. Powell and Pressburger created a masterpiece and give truth to the phrase "They don't make them like this anymore". The seventeen (?) minute dance scene with all that was going on is actually stunning.

One of the best movies ever made
Arrived quickly, beautiful quality, a treasure.
