WRE54G, easy to use product
1 of 1 found this helpful The Linksys WRE54G range expander is an easy way to extend the range of your wireless network. The WRE54G has an auto configuration button on the side which works perfectly, as long as your wireless network is not using encryption. Without encryption it will connect automatically. If you are using encryption then the auto configuration will not help and you will need to use the web-interface to set things up manually. Version 1 does not have a built in network plug and is very difficult to configure using the web-interface. Versions 2 and above have the network plug and that makes configuration much easier.

Weather Forecaster
Ambient (www.ambientdevices.com) made several weather forecasters under the names of Brookstone, Bushnell and Ambient. They all receive free over-the-air signals from Accuweather which updates every 15 minutes for the over 150 covered cities in the U.S. The Brookstone model has 5-day forecasts, a plastic frame and uses batteries. The Bushnell model comes as FX3 (3-day), FX5 (5-day) and FX7 (7-day). It has a metal frame, uses batteries but can also use an AC adapter. When using the AC adapter the background color will change depending on the temperature range. There are two versions of the Bushnell series, version one has an embossed Bushnell name on the metal frame. Version two has an engraved Bushnell name on a chrome area which also has a stub antenna attached. Ambient produced some units with their own name instead of Bushnell and these are all version two.
