Just yummy! I malabrigo Mecha yarn in general and English Rose is marvelous ! The first thing I noticed was how buttery soft the yarn is.
This yarn is a dream to knit with . It is so forgiving when one has to rip sections out repeatedly. It does not pill, snag or tangle like other yarns can tend to do when redoing a section.
This yarn, like all Malabrigo yarns has marvelous stitch definition. The photo of the knitting I included with this review is of Mecha knitted with 2 strands of yarn held together. I have tried this 2 strand technique with, other yarns and the yarn tended to split and it was hard to keep track of the separate stitches. With Mecha the stitches are well defined so that when knitting double like this the 2 stitches stay together and are easy to see.
The garment I am knitting as shown in the photo is being knit on size USA 10 circular needles.

orchid propagation
4 of 4 found this helpful To call this an orchid propagation kit is to stretch the truth in the extreme. A more accurate title for this sad little boxed set would be "General Knowledge Orchid Book for Beginners In A Box With Gimmicky Sprayer, Twist Ties and Styrophome."
Seriously, if one orders this as I did hoping for information or materials useful for seed propagation or tissue culture of orchids, prepare to be seriously disappointed. On the other hand, what can you expect for $14.95 including shipping and handling? Perhaps a little accuracy in labeling and naming a product. The book included in the set is a decent intro to orchid types and their basic needs . It has some interesting historical notes about orchid nomenclature and origins and all in all the book is the high point of the entire package.
If you decide to buy the kit as I did for orchid propagation techniques and tips be aware that it is seriously lacking in both and basically is a nicely packaged instruction kit on how to repot an orchid. On the other hand, if you are buyiny someone an orchid as a gift and want to ensure that they have the basics covered as far as how to care for their new baby, this will do nicely and may make the difference between success and failure.

Buttery soft super bulky luxury merino wool
This yarn is a delight to knit with it is ultra soft, never splits and holds up beautifully even after multiple times I've had to tear out my knitting mistakes and I make quite a few! It does not pill, has a lovely shimmer to it and blocks and holds its shape really well. This particular color, Teal Feather reminds me of the color of the ocean up in Northern California around the Big Sur area.
I have knit with many of Malabrigo's Rasta yarns and they have yet to disappoint and Teal Feather is no exception; it is simply yummy
