Really? Am I learning to cut meat?
I was disappointed that the book was mostly, really, truly, about the act of dismembering animals. I guess I should have made it a point to read the reviews prior to purchase; her original blog was so good. Julie Powell is complex and strange; her affair would not have ended if D had not walked away, and yet, Eric stayed and they continued to live together. I guess I am not that open minded; or better yet, I expect my husband to leave me once I fall in love with another man; is that not reasonable? The book felt like both stories were incomplete. I was happy to finish, which is saying a lot, as I normally go into a slight depression when I am done with a really great book. I did not like this book as much as I thought I would; however, this is solely my opinion...you may love learning how to dismember a goat.
