Great music but no artist data
This is a miscellaneous collection of traditional Japanese music. The sources and artists' names are not given. Featured are koto (zither) music and a few other genres, both instrumental and vocal. Particularly odd is that the album includes three different versions of "Arirang," a well-known Korean folk song. Go figure. The performances are really beautiful and the sound quality is good. The liner notes give general info on the institution of the Geisha, but no data on the music. The CD is a good addition to the collection of Asian music enthusiasts (like myself) but the lack of specific description will likely confuse the novice.
