Useful life is unknown at this point.

Flashlights fail because contacts corrode. Short of gold flash on all the connections within the unit (people hoard the stuff which is a shame since gold is such a useful industrial metal) this one will also fail eventually. I bought this $30 flashlight hoping it will last. Time will tell.

Nice indoor clock, but . . .

The large 4.5" digits need to be brighter. The clock is difficult to read in bright sunlight. The internal clock chip handled the "spring forward" conversion to daylight saving time correctly.
