mostly a good buy
It does the job and is well made but maybe a little bit lighter than I expected.
It has two flaws... one is the clip that holds the lid up is too trigger happy and probably needs to be a little bit less inclined to go off.
The other one is that if you drop the trap into a drum of water to kill the rat the door opens when it hits the water. There is a slide bar but it is not good enough to hold the door closed. A clip could be added to improve the design.
It works well enough but I think the rats see their friends trapped and then less inclined to go near it again. If the rat was dead they would not associate it as a trap.
