you need it, might as well get one used
everybody with certain roland boss gear needs to buy one of these at some point. there's nothing for me to really compare it to in order to give an objective review! just save yourself 10-20 bux and get one used.

One of the greatest crim lineups ever, well made film
the only thing i don't like so much is the fact that when you select to mainly view any one member of the band, you're only selecting for the first song. i mean obviously in 1995 they didn't know in 1999 they would be able to do something like this so i'm sure that's the only song where individual members were filmed...but i don't care, i think it's great, i'm only complaining because i'm learning to play in fripp's new standard tuning and i'm thinking about playing touchguitar, so i REALLY would've loved to have been able to see more of individual members. but for something filmed before that technology was available, hey whaddya want. it's great, if you like crimson and you're really into the THRAK lineup and/or the DISCIPLINE lineup... you are in for a treat. please also note that the king crimson live in japan 1995 dvd is a bootleg version of this dvd. i accidentally bought it also, so i just gifted it away to a friend. oh also, the 21st CENTURY SCHIZOID BAND is great. i like it just to be able to hear the thrak lineup play 21st century schizoid man without adrian singing. if that song is why he doesn't do any other old songs that have lyrics, then i understand...i guess. maybe. anyhow, bottom line, just couldn't recommend it enough.
