Engaging subjects - incredible images
2 of 2 found this helpful I am your typical dad that occasionally watches documentaries on wildlife. However, the animals and most of the subjects were new to me and very interesting. I watched it with my teenage kids and they were also impressed. Rather than your typical topics like 'predators in the jungle' or 'sea life in the pacific' the subjects were more broad and the detailed animals and plants discussed had little connection to each other - it was more like they found the more interesting animals and behaviors then presented these to the viewer. I thought this presentation was refreshing and kept me quite interested.
The most amazing part was the imagery - how the behaviors were filmed is breathtaking - highly detailed and in many instances close up.
The only real negative was that disk three showed a few minutes of the same film in earlier disks - albeit the narration was different. Not a huge deal but I felt just a wee bit cheated - as I wanted new footage. This issue was not enough to reduce my 5 star rating.
