Nikon D7000 16.2MP Digital SLR Camera Body #800
    16 April 2020
    This Nikon Offers Features Galore
This camera never ceases to amaze me by its seemingly unending list of features. It simply “bristles with goodies.” I often get the feeling that the engineers at Nikon threw everything they had at the D7000 before offering it to the camera-buying public. Even the user's manual that comes with the camera is 326 pages long, in a booklet format measuring 8 inches by 6 inches. One of the many non-manufacturer “how-to” books that have been published about the camera is very close to 500 pages in length. The D7000 needs that many pages to acquaint new owners with its numerous features. For starters, there are two SD card slots, two (U1 and U2) modes to store and recall customized shooting settings, and the camera has a very “friendly” attitude towards the famous Nikon AI and AIS manual focus lenses. It also works with almost every Nikon autofocus lens made since the mid-1980s. How wonderful to be able to put those gems to use again! Another “pro” feature I like is the solid feeling one gets when picking up and using the camera. This is due to the magnesium alloy metal used in the body of the D7000. I added a Nikon MB-D11 battery pack to my D7000 and this made the camera even more stable in my hands. All in all, this is a very impressive offering from the Nikon digital camera ranks.
    Tiffen 77MM UV Lens Protector Filter for Canon EOS 6D 7D 50D 60D 70D 5D Mark III

Well made filter, backed by good name
I selected this filter to protect the front element of my Canon EF 24-105mm f4L lens. I was immediately impressed by the clear optics and the way the filter threaded onto the Canon lens. It was smooth and easy to turn, which tells me that the filter threads were made with precision and care. All too often, I have bought other filters that feel rough to turn when I have attempted to thread them onto the lens. The overall fit and finish of this Tiffen filter didn't let me down.

Navigating Nikon Capture NX With Ease!
This is an extremely useful publication. I came into Nikon Capture NX completely "cold" from Photoshop 6. Author Ben Long steers his readers in the right direction and demonstrates clearly and simply how to get the most from this amazing program. I particularly like his step-by-step instructions. This book sits by my computer, always open at the appropriate page. In the near future I will splurge on the Nikon update to Capture NX2, but meanwhile, Capture NX and this book are keeping me quite happy!
