THIS IS NOT A GAME!
For Metal Gear fans, BUY THIS! For people who want to use their playstation to play games, STAY AWAY! This is a behind the scenes, making of, "disc 2" to Metal Gear Solid 2. Original sold for 20 bucks before Substance was release, this was a fun treat for fans of the series. Now for anyone who missed out at its initial release its price have sky rocketed for something that is not a game. The only reason you would buy this now is either a) you just played MGS 2 and want to know more about the making of or b) your the ultimate MGS fan and need this to complete the collection. I still find this to over priced now for what it is. Its content is fun for 20 bucks, so do not go over spending for the name Metal Gear.

8 bit Blast from the Past!
In the video game world we know there are numerous legends. Video game characters like Mario and Sonic, who seem to have been around forever. Well now you have the opportunity to trace back the origin of Mega Man. The game allows you to play through games part 1 through 8 from the start and includes 2 more games to unlock ( nothing to amazing but interesting titles that flew under most peoples radar). With the recent release of Mega Man 9 you might be curious to check out Mega Man's Climb to his iconic status in pop culture. Now in terms of how these games scale in terms of enjoyment. Its honestly a bit difficult for some folks to see a differences in titles 1 through 6. Capcom (the game developer) has been know for designing games with the "if it ain't broke, don't fixit" mentality. Now this is a problem for some gamers who want something different after beating a game, but to me, it is simply like playing one very long game, with tons of bosses before you finally make your way to victory (and new gameplay)! The fun thing about this game is the puzzle like bosses you must face to clear each game. Once you defeat a boss you steal their weapon technology that is the weakness for another boss. Your mission is to figure out what works best on how in order to get through this game easily. Things get into high gear when you play part 6 and 7, and it becomes easily to see why Mega Man has been around for so long. These games have been know for their difficultly, so for those more casual gamers who would rather play a beat something in a sitting, Capcom has added an easy mode for everyone. There is also a navigation mode to make sure you do not get lost along your way. It becomes an easy play for child or adult, but I recommend trying these games in their original difficulty. It can be extremely tough and frustrating but....thats old school gaming, two buttons and a huge headache. To relieve some pain there is plenty of extra interviews and photo galleries and some other nice unlockables for you to uncover along your trip down nostalgia road. For the price of admission you get on very sweet ride. Will games that have a high replay value and secrets to uncover, you will have something to ring you back to the 8 bit greatness that is Mega Man. This collection goes for a pretty cheap price and can be picked up on the Gamecube (which plays on Wii) the Playstation 2 (which plays on some PS3) and Xbox (which plays on the 360). So pretty much anyone can find a way to play this. Not to mention it will be much easier the scouring for these games in their original release format. Now keep in mind that this is not the only reason why Mega Man has such a following. The Mega Man X collection is another set of games that included a different series of classic games from the 16 bit era and onward. This X collection is a great buy as well and should be picked up by anyone who is looking for another great set of games bundled at a low price with the ability to keep you glued to your console for hours. Mega Man will not disappoint with these 2 great collections!

1 set, 5 classics!
Universal has a habit of re-releasing their biggest money makers and the classics abide to this rule as well. 1 year after this box set they released an ultimate release of Frankenstein. They delivered a better quality picture and sound, but took away the remaining 4 films. Now with this Legacy Collection, we have a lower quality transfer, but a complete set. As far as extras go, both releases are full of good stuff. This box set was release to hype up Universal new monster movie, Van Helsing, and its director gives us a sub par featurette on the classic series. I could do without it to save a few bucks. These films are classics and are great to have in one set. They are not the scariest movies, nor are they samples of ground breaking cinema. They are fun films, with a great monster that everyone loves! If you love universal monster, and are a fan of Frankenstein, these are for you! Great value at any price, but hopefully universal will not release the perfect collection on blu ray in a month!
