Wonderful little replacement external soundcard. No drivers necessary.
It works wonderfully as a temporary replacement to a broken internal sound card. Sound quality is good enough and can handle up to 16 bit 48khz audio rate. Keep in mind that on startup and sometimes shutdown, the adapter may make some pops/thumps on your speakers or headphones so beware of that.
