Great Shoes but Be Careful
The shoes are comfortable, well made and multipurpose. They aren’t as heavy as some other brands of similar style and can be worn to work, to whatever you do after work, or both. The leather is very soft and supple, but therein is the main weakness. The surface scratches and scuffs fairly easily and regular shoe polish won’t work well. And in all fairness, the appearance of scuffs can generally be lessened by simply rubbing the area in different directions with the fingers. I have a pair of the “Lodge Brown Crazy Horse” style, but I’d guess the same applies to the other colors.
They are best suited to office jobs or something similar, but I don’t think the leather would do well in a restaurant kitchen or somewhere oils/grease or other liquids might spill on them.
Florsheim went the extra mile with the suede strip at the heal to protect the leather from permanent damage and the slightly burnished toe looks natural where some appear too dark or improperly blended back to the main color. Overall, they are great shoes meriting 4/5.

Unusual style but fits perfectly.
Very unusual ankle boots. These are unique in my shoe/boot collection. The design is so form-fitting to my feet that these are best suited to the office in the colder months since thick socks won’t work with them. I wouldn’t be able to get them on. The Italian design is unusual and with some conditioning and the judicious use of a little shoe cream polish on the few marks or scuffs and they can’t be seen unless your nose is touching the leather. Johnson and Murphy shoes have always fit me better than any other shoes, especially pairs made in Italy.

Good quality, but take care
The material is soft and good at maintaining some warmth, but this isn’t a sweatshirt. I use this and another color I bought as base layers that can also serve as the main shirt if the day warms up and the shacket or sweater on top needs to be unbuttoned.
It is vital to the garment that you line dry it or lay it out on a towel to dry flat. Do not put these in the dryer - even on the lowest setting. The shirt will shrink, especially in the sleeve length. I was lucky. I only had it in the dryer for fewer than 5 minutes - once. Even in such a short amount of time, the sleeves lost about an inch or so. Fortunately, they were a bit long for my arms to begin with. But I won’t make that mistake again.
The company seems to have a some sort of commitment to the environment and that’s a plus, but it didn’t have anything to do with the final purchase for me.
