What I Needed
This oil pressure sending unit is for a ford 3000 which is on a 12 volt system.
I used on a Ford Super Dexta which has been converted to a 12 volt system.
I have replaced the Ford Super Dexta original replacement twice. I think because it was originally a 6 volt system now a 12 volt system. They did not hold up! Hopefully this one will continue to do the job!

Out of the box installation
1 of 1 found this helpful The resistor comes with all wires however it has two bare wires which have to be tied in to the circuit. The product description states direct out of the box installation. The box could at least have instructions if the bare wires are going to have to be spliced into a terminal end.

Trouble Shooting Finale
This switch was an identical replacement to the OEM product. Original switch worked great until it was turned to the starting position. At that time it dropped voltage to the automatic fuel shut off therefore it would not start. It could be started by running a jumper from the battery to the auto fuel shut off until it started then release the jumper. New switch solved the problem.
