    The thriller of all thrillers
I was on the edge of my chair throughout the entire movie! This is the ultimate thriller!

    A reference book for beginners
This book is exactly what the title says: an overview. It has great photos and limited text. There are just too many HL products for any subject in this book to be comprehensive. It was perfect for me because my experience and knowlege with HL dinnerware was very limited. If you are a long-time collector (or dealer) this is not likely to be much help. I do not intend to become an expert on HL, so for me it was great.

    It's not Grief!
I bought this book because I am an aging gay man. I, too, have lost both my parents, and in addition, I have buried 2 lovers. I am acquainted with grief. It is a constant companion, and it does not matter what changes you make, what "things" you get rid of, nor how many people are your companions. I was hoping that Andrew Holleran--an excellent writer--would be able to capture this need for a continuing and ongoing connection to your past. But he failed in the effort. Anyone who is younger than 40 will see this narrative as adolescent whining--a man who needs to be slapped and told "to get over it".
