Good price, good looks, mediocre preformance

Buying a headset from the telecommunications giant Motorola you would expect a quality unit, however with the H500 there is some disappointment. The headset looks well styled, feels good on the ear and has a generally good build quality with the fit between pieces being acceptable. The battery life is good too. However there are a few quintessential elements in which it is below expectations. For example, although pairing with the phone is easy, its connection with the phone is highly dependant on... well I don't really know on what yet. What I am trying to say is that at one point it works perfectly and acceptably and at another it has static and either cuts off for short periods or varies the volume up and down. The sound quality is another major minor with it sounding like someone is talking to you via a CB radio, and the buttons seem to change their function without your consent. Depressing the upper volume button should perform the "next" function however this does not always work and sometimes it works in rapid fire, maybe to compensate for its previous laziness? Overall if you are looking for a cheap Bluetooth headset, I can't recommend this, I want my wired headset back...
