Great item for a great price
This expansion base makes it so easy to just lift the laptop off the workstation without disconnecting all the peripherals. I wish I had this for my work laptop. I hate unplugging everything when I need to use it elsewhere! Anyway, this item was not as shiny as a new one, but it was as good as new. My laptop and expansion battery hook right up to it very easily and unhook as well. I haven't tried out all of the plugs yet, but the dvd drive works fine and my computer charges up just fine. I just plugged in my charging cord that came with my computer. For the dvd drive alone, it was worth what I paid, not to mention the convenience the base provides. I am very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend.
