Addition to existing units
Already have a set, picked up the additional to add to the kids’ emergency bags now that they’re old enough. Since this model is tested and works well for our specific needs I decided to match them.
In terms of usage these are not high end and not long-range, and the batteries aren’t great, but these units accommodate alkaline cells which is handy for when it counts. For the price they are rugged and hold up well to saturation and extreme moisture conditions and they tested reliably within ‘planned retreat’ perimeters.
Overall these are great for our intended purpose, but be sure to thoroughly assess YOUR specific needs when considering any comms product.
