Crude and inaccurate model
This version of the Baldwin shark, although made of brass, is very crude and inaccurate. Williams plastic versions are much better. The NYC version's paint and markings are equally crude an inaccurate.

Incorrect paint
CNR bought their 6 super domes in 1964 so the green/black 1950’s paint is dead wrong. It should be in the light gray/black modern scheme with the red “wet noodle” CN logo.

Great engine with incorrect markings
Model manufacturers just don’t do their research on GTW locomotives. The GTW mike was a freight engine that always had the white on black GTW logo on the tender, never the fancy gold on burgundy passenger logo. Lionel and weaver couldn’t get it right, either. I have a copy of this model and it’s a great runner, good detail and a strong puller. I was able to re-decal mine with the correct freight logo.
