Issues with fit, auto-brightness, and Touch ID
3 of 3 found this helpful I transferred my original home button to this screen since I do use Touch ID. Keep in mind that Apple only allows you to use Touch ID with the original home button.
However, Touch ID is no longer able to read or create fingerprints, even though it's enabled. I noticed that the quality of the home button this screen comes with is lower quality than my original home button, so I think this part may be the cause.
The ribbon cables were also out of order so I had to reorganize those to install the screen properly. The edges of the screen also doesn't line up with the edges of the phone as perfectly as the original screen did, which also caused my phone's case to not fit as well as it used to.
Auto-brightness also does not work. It's not even an option in Settings anymore.
As far as I can tell, the rest of the phone's functions still work. If you want something cheap just to get you by, this product may work for you. Personally, I use all of these functions so it's very disappointing for me.
