This are fantastic rods for flounder and sea bass
I take my son on party boats offshore OC Maryland primarily for flounder, but sea bass too. I didn't want to use the boat's setup because it was mono and needed a heavier weight to get down, and I prefer lower bucktail with top teaser. Anyway, I called a captain and asked his advice and he told me to get this one, medium/heavy. I also got the Penn Squall #12 reels and my son and I were VERY pleased with the combo. These rods feel every bite and have plenty of spine to pull in fish without being too stiff at all.

Awesome reels
I take my son on party boats offshore OC Maryland primarily for flounder, but sea bass too. I didn't want to use the boat's setup because it was mono and needed a heavier weight to get down, and I prefer lower bucktail with top teaser. Anyway, I called a captain and asked his advice and he told me to get Shimano Trevala rods in medium/heavy and Penn Squall #12 reels and my son and I were VERY pleased with the combo (feel bites easy, good spine rod). These reels are high quality and perfect for winching fish off the bottom in 120 feet of water.

handles were bent
0 of 1 found this helpful It does work, but I had to hand bend the handles back to being somewhat straight. When I first tried to roll it, the roller wouldn't roll because the handles were bent.
