Time travel for real
I first saw these films in the pre VHS time at a presentation for the local motorcycle club. At the time I was soaking it all up as there was no way I would likely see them ever again. Saarinen was for me at that time the Pele of road racing. The chance to own the DVD and obviously watch it many times without the dropouts and frame jumping of a well warn VHS tape is very special, rather like listening to early albums of a favourite band. Time travel courtesy of a small silver disc.

A worthwhile use of your time.
The range of topics that it deals with is very wide ranging. Touching on many day to day interactions it calmly picks apart the things we take for granted. It indicates how our brain carries out a very good job of processing the avalanche of information from daily life. But it is undeniable that it is not perfect and the course points out how our brain attempt to error-correct or just fill in the gaps that seem valid. Overall I would say that it is a worthwhile use of my time in reading and listening and maybe just maybe has tuned-up my brain a touch. 10/10

Lessons valid through time
I remember reading this book when it was first published when it's subject was in your face relevant. The cold war,the troubles in Northern Ireland and the increasing bravado of trade unions. Seems the actors have changed and the locations but the forces of change or attempts at change are still with us. The author gives a calm and clear analysis of the players and their goals to provide a template that can be customised to fit today's turbulent currents.
