2007 z06 Corvette

The z06 Corvette is loaded with power but still civilized. It can accelerate with the viper but handles much better and is considerably more comfortable. The heads up display is a nice touch and the smart key is a novelty. My only complaint is a minor one: I find the clutch a little touchy. As an added bonus, my viper gets only 9 mpg, and this gets well over 20! The Corsa exhaust makes a big difference. It gives you the exhaust note a car of this caliber should have! I have owned a number of sports cars, and this is the best performance car on the market for the money. You can probably find a nicer car, but not for less than $100K (Maybe not for less than $200K)! I have now owned the car for more than a year. There are two more annoying problems that I have discovered. At low rates of speed, the car is set up to prevent you from shifting from first to second. The dealer tells me there is no fix for this. The driver's window also does not always close all the way. This is apparently a common problem, and one the dealer has also been unable to fix. Last, the car is shaped in such a way that water on the roof drips into the car if you have the window open - needs a gutter along the top of the window frame. The car gets 25mpg on the highway at 75mph in 6th gear! It is comfortable to drive long distances and has been maintenance free. I still like it better than my Viper and my Lotus Elise. The only way I would get rid of it is as anexchange for a new ZR1! Highly recommend buying one used on Ebay with low mileage for $25-30K off sticker!
