"EXODUS - A Journey Out Of The Theater"
I've been "in-the-business" for over 50 years, (as a film maker DP, Cinematographer, Producer, etc.) and my mother was a professional actress from 1915.
I am a big fan of Ridley Scott and really like most of his movies, but I have to say that "Exodus" was one of his worst, if not his worst.
The special effects and costumes were great, but the continuity was terrible, and so was the editing, the writing, the acting, the music, and especially casting. In fact, that is Mr. Scott's weakest point, the casting. Most of the actors did NOT fit the rolls at all, and I could also say the same about a few of his past films..
The best things about the movie was the spectacle and the 3D. But, you cannot make a successful film on those things alone. It was so poorly written, and the continuity so bad, that I would never want to see it again.
All this aside, I still respect and admire Ridley Scott and all the wonderful films he has brought to the silver screen.
