Old fasioned lightweight kick stand with full clamp.
It is exactly what I wanted and very much the same as was sold 50 years ago. It is light weight and had a nice alloy clamp. For smaller bikes you hack saw off a little length. Very easily done as it is aluminum. It fit my 700C wheeled hybrid bike perfectly as is. Virtually all the better 10 speed road bikes had these in the 1970s.

Good slide/negative scanner.
Needed something I could afford to scan old negatives, some in medium format, not 35mm. Works nicely. Photo scanning works well too, but my printer scanner also does a good job at perhaps somewhat lower resolution.

Aspire 5, great screen and runs Linux well in dual boot
2 of 2 found this helpful SSD means operating system loads fast. Free and easy upgrade from Windows 10S to Windows 10 to add special software I need for work. Also installed Linux Mint for dual boot. I mostly use Linux but great to have Windows for rare occasions that I need it. Plenty powerful to run Linux well with only 4 GB ram. Windows runs great and since it is used seldom, I won't install antivirus or other stuff to bog it down. Highly recommend Libre Office as a free alternative to microsoft office. This is not a high power machine but if you don't bog it down with unnecessary nonsense, it runs really fast and you would never notice that it is an ecomy machine. Build quality and screen is great. FYI, all works well with Linux Mint Mate, except sleep mode. It does not wake properly, so I turned it off. The fix will likely appear some months down the road. This is a new processor/gpu.
