Waterproof outline pens

I draw with a brush-pen filled with water, a set of watercolour pencils and I use UB=157 Uni-ball colours for waterproof outlines. This set of 4 colours is handy to buy together instead of separately, as this saves a bit on postage.

How the daughters of Genghis Khan kept the Silk Road open while his sons destructively competed for turf.

I saw the Netflix series on Genghis Khan and looked him up in Wikipedia to seek any list of dramatic errors with the history. That article cited as an authority, this book, so I bought it. I wasn't disappointed. The descriptions of some of the cruelty was too hard for my breakfast companions to hear - when I read them out (at their requests). It demonstrates the wisdom of his daughters and the arrogant idiocy of the sons. It was well written, too.

anthropological look at tribal art

I used to own it but lost it, so I bought another copy. It is an interesting review of ethnic art, what their intentions were and how they expressed them. - e.g., I hadn't understood that the art of coastal NW American indians shows animals as seen as when skinned and lain out flat.
