Great Portrait lens
1 of 1 found this helpful This is the first prime lens i ever purchased and i absolutely love it for portrait work. I paid $569 brand new and have never regretted the purchase i take it with me everytime I head out to do photography .. Love it It compliments my lit beautifully

Awesome work horse that will last for several years
Great value for money I have had mine for over 5 years and i will not part with it. I recently purchased the Canon 6D as I want a beast for low light.. The 550D accompanied with the right lenses will give great low light photos but I just wanted more as I progressed into photography and now I shoot weddings so the Canon 6D will be my go to camera for weddings but I know I can trust my 550D as a solid backup should anything go wrong .. I purchased my 550D Brand new from Harvey Norman for $990 with a kit lens but have since replaced my kit lenses except the 55mm f3.5 as it still gives sharp photos - The 550D is dependable reliable and not bulky to carry but as previously stated I now have 7 lenses and I will not give up my 550D camera ever ..

Best Camera on the market
1 of 1 found this helpful I recently added the 6D to my kit as I read a whole lot of reviews and there were no negatives anywhere I then spent 3 months watching YouTube tutorials on how it is used and what lenses to buy with it etc., I purchased a 6D 3 weeks ago and have been very impressed with Pictue quality ease of use ( in fact the camera when set up to do so will do all your thinking for you) It is a perfect match with my 550D and I really only purchased it for its extremely perfect low light capabilities my concert photos are so much better and for general purpose shooting such as portraist family events and weddings, landscapes It handles everything I throw at it and I really put it through its paces ... I now have a complete set of equipment and 2 cameras that I know I can trust
