Works great
Very compact over regular hard covers and that saves space. They do the job.

The designers of the GX-300 should go on their own and keep making this
This was the best dvd recorder around for the price. I bought this unit back in April of 2006 and recorded close to 175 dvd's on it (350-400 hrs), aside from a couple of bad blank media's this machine wouldn't take, the Sony GX-300 worked perfectly. It finally broke down two weeks ago and I had the Geek Squad take a look at it. They suggested I have it shipped to a Sony tech for repairs.The machine would not record anymore, Dirty disc and info write would come up constantly. I thought mailing it in and having it fixed would be more than what it's worth. But after reading some of these reviews I might just go this route and get it fixed. I have the GX315 now and I don't care for it that much, it's not as good as it's older brother.
