Hanta Yo An American Saga, Ruth Beebe Hill, 1979, hardcover, 1st Edition

Historically Significant

As a former teacher (20 years) back in 1979 I bought a 1st edition of Hanta Yo. This is a great resource on Native American life -- one of the best. In the 1990s a friend borrowed it, moved away, then later died. I assume my copy went into the used book mill. Today I write and publish books on America's History and saw the opportunity to obtain Hanta Yo again. So glad I did as this is the primary reference today on the Plains Indians before and during the expansion of the West. If anyone is writing a book on Plains Indian Life -- this book is a must -- whether historic, pre-historic, or present day. You shouldn't be without it. Thank you.
