7L Stainless Steel Fruit Crusher Pulper Masher Grinder Apple Juice Wine Cider
08 September 2021
Working well with our setup
We had previously purchased an Insinkerator garbage dispose-all to use as an apple grinder since it is essentially what is known as a "hammer mill". The problem we had with it was that big apples had to be cut up to feed into it and it would overheat. So we decided to get this mill to see if it could serve as a replacement for it. It does a pretty good job chopping up the apples and the teeth do a reasonably good job of pulling the apples into them. It does take a little bit of strength to crank it and it really helps to have a 2nd person to hold this grinder in place if you're going to use it over a bucket or you need to build something it can sit on which you can clamp it down onto because it will "walk" on you when you're cranking the handle to grind apples. I think the pomace which comes out of it could probably have been pressed directly and would have given a fairly good yiekd but since we did have the dispose-all already we fed the output of this grinder into it. The result was no more need to cut up apples, no over heating of the dispose-all and a nice pomace which yielded 6 gallons of juice from 12 gallons of pressed pomace. So this is so far turning out as a good addition to our setup and we think that for the moderate amount of pressing we do (alternate years, on the order of 5-6 six gallon buckets of pomace yield total) it should last and the price point on it was quite reasonable.

Roxio Easy LP To MP3 vinyl Record Software Unopened Windows Audio Transfer

Definitely like this product
The analog to digital HW worked well and the drivers installed themselves as soon as I connected it to the USB port on my Windows 7 laptop. I didn't care much for the included SW especially since I am already have and am familiar with using Audacity but the HW works fine with Audacity so I've had no problem using that instead.
Cisco Linksys E3200 4-Port Gigabit Wireless N Router WITH DD-WRT

An easy to use router with gigabit speed on all hw ports
I purchased this router because I have other Linksys equipment and it generally plays well together. Unfortunately I bought this one because I found out that the marketing literature of the prior Linksys N600 E2500 router I had was misleading. It claimed to be a 600mbps router but nowhere did it specify that the max port speeds were limited to 100mbps. It was only a year or so after I purchased this that I finally learned it was limited to 100mpbs per port so in order to get the full bandwidth I was paying for from my ISP I needed to move to this router which has Gigabit speed on every port and it works fine.
