I don't know why...
...I love this movie so much. Perhaps it is the fact that there is beauty in nearly every frame of this gem. From the countryside to the villa to the women the story focuses on there is beauty everywhere. Then there is the story. I won't go into detail, but I will say that if you're looking for action then this film is NOT for you. This film is slow and drawn out. The beauty is visually stimulating and the story will get your mind working.

Great Buddy Cop Movie
I first caught this movie on cable several years ago. I don't know why I enjoyed it so much, but I did. It is a cheezy Fish-Out-Of-Water buddy cop movie that will make you laugh, but don't expect anything more than some fun. The DVD doesn't have much other than the movie itself, which is well worth the low price you can usually find it for.

Well...
...if you're looking for a tender tale then this is your movie. The basis of the story is the citified son comes home to the farm. Personally, I only bought this DVD because the late Andreas Katsulas is in it and I was not disappointed. Andreas is excellent as is the rest of the cast. I can't say I found the story terribly interesting, but it was o.k. if you're in the mood for a made for TV movie that belongs on the Hallmark channel or similar outlets. As far as the DVD goes, I know there are at least 2 version and I think there are 3. There is a Digiview $1 version that is really edited for television. Then there is the version I purchased with the "CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL PRESENTS" heading. This version isn't as edited as the $1 version, but did cost me closer to $10. I still think it is somewhat edited because there are a few odd cuts. For example, there is a scene where Rebecca Harrell gets covered in honey. It jumps to her running and jumping in a pond, but the honey appears to be gone and she seems to be soaking wet instead. I only noticed this because the back of the DVD has a semi-revealing photo of her in the same shirt being sprayed with a hose. So, there is a jump from her being covered in honey to after the honey has been sprayed off. Also, when she gets out of the pond there are a couple of odd edits. I guess they wanted to hide the fact that her breasts were showing through the shirt, but the picture on the back cover pretty much shows it anyway. The DVD version I purchased is Full Screen and I had not problems with playback.
