Does exactly what I want it to do
This camera works very well.

Fast, Sharp Lens
2 of 2 found this helpful I have a very good 18-70mm zoom lens for my Sony Alpha 100 camera, so the focal length of this lens falls inside that range. However, I wanted a faster - f1.7 instead of f3.5 - lens which, as a fixed focal length rather than a zoom, is somewhat sharper. The lens is also smaller and lighter than the zoom lens, making it easier to use for candid, available light photography.
The Minolta lens I purchased works perfectly on the Sony camera and is everything I hoped it would be.
