This Slingerland bass drum hoop was in reasonably good condition considering it was 40+ years old; seller did describe it as having a "vintage/used" look and that it "could be repainted", so getting a hoop with a "shop worn" appearance (and a few touches of rust on the chrome inlay) was not a total surprise. It WAS priced fairly, thank you! Shipped fast - well packed. Cymbal sounds better than cymbal that cost twice as much
3 of 4 found this helpful These Wuhan Traditional series cymbals are hands down the best value when it comes to cymbals. They are handmade and are made of B20 (not B8) just like the high end cymbals from the major cymbal manufacturers. You just can't beat the price! I have been drumming for over 20 years and these are the only cymbals I buy now. I recommend them to beginners all the way up to the pros....great cymbals!

Hearts Of The Innocent - Kutless (CD 2006)
Best Kutless cd yet! This cd is more diverse than other Kutless recordings. Great hooks. Some very driving rhythms. If you like Kutless and even if you don't like Kutless, this is a great cd.

Unique Kit that has a good warm sound
This is a pretty unique drum kit....offset lugs, black hardware, very shallow toms, & 13" snare. I was looking for something different and this set didn't disappoint. It has a good warm/vintage sound. It comes with coated heads on top and clear heads on the bottom. I was glad that it came with the tom mounts (all you need is cymbals stand to mount them to). The snare has a nice pop when tuned up tight. It doesn't have the vintage look like the other Catalinas but that's partly what makes this kit different. The toms have good tone and the kick has a good low end thud to it. The overall volume is lower than other kits, which makes it a good option for small gigs/buildings. Of course miked up the volume won't be an issue for bigger venues.
