Not metal
I was harsh on my initial review. I had expected these to be metal. With that said, I finally did install them and they look great and I no longer have the beat up look where the old ones were peeling.

Noticeable difference
I have a Unimat SL-1000 inherited from my Father-in-law. I ordered these after trying to tune the cross slide and encountering too much friction when advancing the cutter. The difference was noticeable. Glad I ordered them.
